Futaba 9CAP Excel 97 Worksheets for RC Sailplane Settings.
Included are six worksheets that you can use for recording your Futaba
9CAP sailplane settings (1). Reasons for doing this might include
troubleshooting setups, sharing them with others, verifying that programming
is consistent among your sailplanes, or for archiving. There are three
sheets for the simpler Glider type, GLID(1FLP), followed by three sheets
for the more complex GLID(2FLP) program. Every attempt has been made
to keep these worksheets simple and compact, yet to faithfully represent
the transmitter's settings (2). Each will print as a single page on
most printers. This will help you to visualize all of the program mixes
and to better comprehend how they interact. Three data entry methods
are provided for each glider type, one using typeover, one using dropdown
list boxes (3), and one with empty cells you can write in. After you
are familiar with these layouts, you will probably find that one best suits
your own needs. You should make a backup copy of this workbook before
you make any changes. Each of the six worksheets is selected by clicking the
appropriate tab along the bottom. Be sure to extend your transmitter
antenna if you have it turned on during program data recording or you may

Description of Worksheets for GLID(1FLP)
GLID(1FLP). This is a combined display of the BASIC and the ADVANCED
menus. The default values are already typed in. Data entry is
carried out by typing into the appropriate cell.
GLID(1FLP)_Lists. This page provides a dropdown list of entries
for each data cell. Each box is initially set to the default value.
Changes are made by clicking the appropriate box and selecting the desired
value. This is likely to be the fastest way to enter changes for most
users; however the single page display is a bit 'busy'.
GLID(1FLP)_Empty. This worksheet has all of the default data removed.
This is for those who wish to pencil values onto a printed copy while at
the flying site.

2 Trim and Failsafe settings have not been implimented in order
to save space.
3 Excel calls these "combo box" objects. They are found
on the View>Toolbars>Forms menu in Microsoft Excel 97.
4 "You should ALWAYS extend your antenna at least the bottom or
first segment when turning the radio on with a module in place. If left
in the radio with the radio on at your work area with the antenna collapsed
for more than short intervals, the module will be unnecessarily exposed and
may shorten the life or even immediately damage the module/transmitter."
